Chefs of great renown and VIPs from Loudoun County, Middleburg and environs enjoyed a superb dinner and excellent company at The 2004 James Beard Foundation Dinner Friday evening at Sheila Johnson's Salamander Market. Many courses of delectable dining were prepared by Todd Gray, executive chef, Market Salamander; Scott Heckert, chef-in-residence, Market Salamander; Daniel Kalber, chef-in-residence, Market Salamander; Roberto Donna, chef/owner, Galileo in Washington, D.C. and Jason Jonilonis, executive chef, Hacienda del Sol, Tuscon, Arizona.

Citronelle Chef Michel Richard stopped in at Middleburg's Market Salamander recently to see how things were progressing at the bustling purveyor of delicacies. The opportunity to meet Richard, one of the countries most admired chefs, was a pleasant surprise and real treat for Salamander's resident chefs and the Market's staff.
