Christmas in Middleburg
We all owe an enormous debt of gratitude to the generous and dedicated citizens who worked tirelessly this year to ring in the holidays with the "Christmas in Middleburg" celebration. We are told that a significantly larger crowd attended the festivities this year and that both business and restaurants reported strong sales.
Visitors from far and wide voiced their enthusiasm and delight from one end of the village to the other, and children who lined Washington Street registered their approval with "Oh's" and "Ah's" as The Hunt and The Parade passed by.
Without the dedication of the following individuals, none of this would be possible:
Our thanks go to Reggie Dawson and all the members of the Christmas in Middleburg 2004 Committee; the Saturday Band of Volunteers; Marvin Simms, Mike Casey and the Town Staff; Sharon Pearson, Bill Brown, Bob Dornin, Bill Turnure, Marchant Schneider, Nick Fleming, Anne Regina Cotter, Franklin Payne, Mark Smith, Brad Davis, Claudia Dornin, Carol Thompson, Kenneth Youngs, James Cotter, Aeron Mack Hynes, Carolyn Casey, Willard Scott, Paul Draisey, Tyler Gore, Fritz Hutchinson, The Hill School, the American Legion, the National Sporting Library, St. Stephens Catholic Church, Salamander Development, Laurie Root, Market Salamander, The Fun Shop, Mellow Out, Upper Crust, The Coach Stop and Gary Garrett.
Thanks also go to Matthew Prenda, Donny Carroll, Anne Regina Cotter, James Cotter, Jay Hubbard, Mary Kay Garwood, the Pink Box Docents and Eura Lewis.
May you all have a Happy Holiday and a peaceful New Year.
