Middleburg Bank Opens New Purcellville Financial Center

· By Steven Schwartz · From pages 30, 31 of the print edition

Standing behind the counter of a mahogany concierge desk and flanked by a blazing fire, Joe Boling, President and Chief Executive Officer of Middleburg Bank today officially launched the bank's first "Financial Center" in Loudoun County. The new "Financial Center" is located at the site of the bank's former Purcellville branch and is designed to further enhance the client experience at Middleburg Bank.

Upon entering the Purcellville "Financial Center," it quickly becomes apparent that this is not an ordinary bank branch. Clients are first greeted by a concierge seated behind a beautiful mahogany desk. Behind the concierge a large fireplace spreads a warm, cheery glow throughout the branch as a plasma TV delivers the days financial news. In front of the fireplace are large overstuffed armchairs where coffee and beverages are available for clients and visitors to enjoy. In comfortable offices spread throughout the Financial Center, clients and bankers discuss financial products that make the most sense for the client, not the financial provider. This is financial services Middleburg Bank style.

Beyond the warm glow of a great atmosphere in which to bank, there's another major selling point of Middleburg Bank's "Financial Center" model. All the financial professionals a client could ever need are physically located inside. For example, the "Financial Center" houses mortgage lenders, investment and financial planners, trust officers, commercial lenders and retail banking staff.

This is not typical in the industry. Often a client is required to travel to another location or make an appointment for the next time the financial professional is in town. Middleburg Bank's model offers clients the immediate attention they want and deserve.

"The high level of personal service we're able to deliver is one of the reasons the bank has been successful over the years", said Joe Boling, President and CEO. "An atmosphere conducive to delivering an even higher level of service is the logical progression of our business model. The Purcellville Financial Center is a good example of our continuing commitment to providing the highest level of service by offering the best products and the best financial advisors in a great atmosphere".

Middleburg Bank also plans to convert its other Loudoun branches to Financial Centers. Last year, the bank opened a "Financial Center" in Reston and plans to open another this year in neighboring Fauquier County.
