One Year Later

· By Dee Dee Hubbard · From pages 10 of the print edition

As we enter our second year of publication at the Eccentric, we want to thank our readers, our advertisers, our patient and thoughtful friends, families and colleagues for their trust, kindness, understanding and support.

When we decided to begin publication one year ago, it was to satisfy a need we felt personally for more balanced information about what was happening to this beautiful, bucolic part of the world. As we got underway, we were gratified and sometimes stunned at the rapid and enthusiastic response.

We work very hard to represent the issues, the culture, the individuals and the economic base of this beautiful but rapidly growing part of the world. You may not always agree with our point of view, and we thank you for pointing those instances out to us.

We often strike a chord of consensus, and we thank you for letting us know you agree. Or, that you didn't fully understand something we covered that really matters to you.

We commit to you that we shall continue to cover this area in a fair, balanced and reflective manner.
