Inova Loudoun Hospital Honors Glenwood Park Trustees
The Inova Loudoun Hospital Board of Directors honored Glenwood Park Trustees Clay "Barney" Brittle, Jr., recently retired Trustee Charles "Chuck" Hoovler, and newly appointed Trustee Victor DuPont for years of service in securing Glenwood Park's legacy in the Loudoun Community. In a ceremony at Glenwood Park where trees have been planted honoring each distinguished recipient of the commendation of service, the daughter of the late Mr. Erskine Bedford, former Glenwood Park Trustee, Mrs. Cricket Whitner, accepted the commendation on behalf of her father.
"My father thoroughly enjoyed his work at Glenwood Park and what it meant for the community. He would be proud of how the Park has developed since his tenure," observed Mrs. Whitner, "and it is with deep gratitude that I accept this commendation on his behalf. He loved this park. He believed in the mission of support Glenwood Park played in assuring community health care for the Loudoun community. We are so very proud of his work and the legacy we all enjoy today."
Daniel C. Sands, Master of the Middleburg Hunt for nearly forty years, left Glenwood Park in trust as a means of financial support for Inova Loudoun Hospital, our community-based, not-for-profit hospital. Thanks to the foresight of Glenwood Park Trustees' Chuck Hoovler and Barney Brittle and assistance of attorney David Moyes, Glenwood Park's legacy has been secured in permanent conservation easement for perpetuity.
