Local Team Joins National Race for the Cure

· From pages 19 of the print edition

Long time Middleburg resident and Middleburg Animal Hospital mainstay Liz Washington, was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year and is currently undergoing chemotherapy following surgery. In support of Liz, and thousands of women like her, the Middleburg Animal Hospital has formed a team to participate in this year's National Race for the Cure in Washington, DC on Saturday, June 3.

We hope you'll support our effort and walk with The Middleburg Animal Hospital! You can register for the race at the website for the National Race for the Cure, www.nationalraceforthecure.org . Be sure to select "join a team" rather than "individual registration". Our team name is "Middleburg Animal Hospital.

Or pledge donations to our team. You can do this through the National Race for the Cure website (be sure to follow the steps for Team Pledges), via mail, or by leaving a donation at the animal hospital (please make checks payable to "Komen National Race for the Cure").

Thank you for joining us in the fight against breast cancer!
