The Hill School Establishes New Endowment Fund
The Board of Directors of the Hill School, Middleburg, Virginia, has established The Hill School Endowment Fund in the Piedmont Community Foundation (PCF). The Fund is designated to ensure the beauty and upkeep of the school's 137 acre campus. The property is used and enjoyed not only by the school's students, teachers, and parents, but also by local citizens and visitors to the community. The walking trails, the arboretum, and the athletic fields offer many opportunities for outdoor experiences.
In 1991-1992 the original four acre campus was expanded to the current size through the generosity of the late Stephen C. Clark, Jr. and his daughter Jane Forbes Clark. Former Hill parent and grandparent, Polly Rowley, provided much of the vision, leadership, and energy in helping the Board and administration landscape the campus.
The new fund was created recognizing that many who appreciate or use Hill's campus may wish to assist the school in caring for this open space on the southern edge of the Town. PCF was chosen to house the fund because it will be well positioned to grow while giving and receiving strength through the community investment pool.
Gifts for the new Fund should be made out to the Piedmont Community Foundation, please notate "Hill Fund". Send to: PCF, P.O. Box 402, Middleburg, VA, 20118.
