21st Annual YFT Country Fair & Auctions Set for September 30
One of Northern Virginia's premier family-friendly fall festivals will return to the campus of Youth for Tomorrow (YFT) on Saturday, September 30. YFT founder and Washington Redskins Coach Joe Gibbs invites you to join thousands from around the region to enjoy the day's events from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds from the event benefit educational and counseling programs for boys and girls at the residential facility near Manassas.
Gibbs states, "The Country Fair is much more than just a fundraiser for the Youth home. It's a celebration of what can be achieved when a community comes together to address a need. I invite you to look around our campus and see what has been achieved with resources raised at previous Country Fairs, other fundraising activities and donations from hundreds of generous, caring businesses and individuals in Northern Virginia."
Fair co-chairmen Anthony Barbour of Interstate Batteries of NOVA and Steve Craven, Craven Tire and Auto are promising the best ever fair with hundreds of fabulous items for bid in the live and silent auction tents and on the blind bid board. The top live auction item this year is a 2005 Tony Stewart Signature Series Monte Carlo donated by Joe Gibbs Racing. Other items include tickets for top sporting events, exciting trips to some of America's favorite resorts and eateries, art objects and many, many more.
Entertainment for young and old will take place throughout the day. Musical groups will perform. One of the entertainment highlights will be the popular Piscataway Indian Nation revue. There will be numerous activities and rides for children and youth.
Admission to the event is $10 for adults, $5 for children 17 and under; there is no charge for children under 5. Parking is free. Food is available for purchase from some of the area's favorite food vendors including Clyde's, Dominos, Chick-fil-A and Westpark barbecue.
