Crowned Salamander Collection Debuts in Middleburg
Continuing to enlarge her Salamander brand, Sheila Johnson recently introduced the "Crowned Salamander Collection" of fine jewelry to two hundred friends and colleagues at Middleburg's Mystique jewelry boutique. Johnson worked with local designer Elizabeth Mandros Miller and Master Goldsmith Ivan Naranjo to design pieces that are beautifully crafted, imminently wearable and reflective of the salamander symbol. Known for its amazing strength and tenacity, the salamander is said to be the only animal that can walk through fire. Johnson, entrepreneur and CEO of Salamander Hospitality, encountered the name when she purchased her Middleburg farm. "The farm was originally named Salamander Farm, and, although previous owners had changed the name, I decided to return the property to its original name," Johnson explained. "Salamander is now the brand for all my enterprises."
The sterling silver and gold collection integrates equestrian elements, and includes earrings, a charm bracelet, and several variations of necklaces with fresh water pearls and semi-precious stones and diamonds. A collection for men line includes key chains, money clips and cufflinks.
The Crowned Salamander collection will be available at Mystique Jewelers in Middleburg through the month of January. For more information visit www.mystique.com.
