It gives us great pleasure to announce the Grand Opening of Purcellville Wine & Gourmet. PWG will offer a wide variety of wines, beers, cigars, coffees, assorted gourmet foods, candies and specialty cheeses. Doors will open December 5th, 2006 at 10:00 am. Ribbon cutting ceremony will be held December 11, 2006 2:00pm–4:00pm.

PWG will offer wine tastings every Friday night and throughout the day on Saturdays. Please stop in to meet Duane "The Wine Guy" and enjoy some wine at our wine bar, sample some coffee from the coffee bar, or smoke a cigar in the shopping center breezeway. PWG hopes to have its gift baskets on your holiday shopping list and be a regular stop in your travels.

Duane M. Harris (Hamilton, VA), shopkeeper and owner, brings over 10 years of wine business experience to PWG. Duane's goal is to eliminate the intimidation of wine and share his passion with the community. Most recently he received his Certified Wine Specialist accreditation from the Society of Wine Educators and passed the Introductory Sommelier Course held in New York by the Court of Master Sommeliers. Duane is backed by the support of his wife, Stephanie R. Harris (Hamilton, VA) and partners Charles W. Slocum (Arlington, VA) and Christopher S. and Teresa R. Erickson (Round Hill, VA).
