Foxcroft School's Chelsy Coil of Middleburg, VA, was named Second Team All-Met in field hockey and teammate Laura Block of Leesburg, VA, drew an All-Met honorable mention Wednesday from the Washington Post.

Coil, a junior co-captain who played several key positions for the 9-5-2 squad, was also selected Player of the Year for Loudoun County by the newspaper's Loudoun Extra staff.

Block, a senior goalie and co-captain, and Caitlin McNaughton, a junior attack player from Middleburg, were named to the All-Extra/Loudoun County team. Block, a standout goalie in field hockey and lacrosse, collected 161 saves and eight shutouts this season while allowing only 16 goals. She and Coil both competed at the National Field Hockey Festival in Indio, CA, Nov. 23-26, playing for a regional all-star high school team. Block will play at Gettysburg College next year.
