Middleburg Brothers Raise $800 for War Heroes
Henry and Noah Fell, Middleburg Elementary students, spent their spare time making a big difference during the month of December. The boys were stationed in front of the Middleburg Safeway where they sold hand-painted Christmas ornaments to raise funds for Fisher House, an organization that provides housing for the families of ill or injured soldiers.
The $800 raised by the Fell brothers will provide a priceless service to the families of veterans who, without help, would not be able to be at the side of their loved ones when they are ill or suffering from the wounds of war.
When Rick Fowler, WMAL radio host, interviewed the brothers for a segment that aired December 30th they explained that they had lots of help painting the ornaments from their Sunday School friends.
Fisher Houses, located near military hospitals and VA hospitals, provide invaluable help to families whose loved ones must be hospitalized far from home.
