Middleburg Methodist United Church Welcomes New Pastor

· From pages 12 of the print edition

Vickie Seibert, who recently joined Middleburg's Methodist United Church as pastor, loves the "charming town and beautiful church" and looks forward to helping every church member with their individual ministries. Pastor Seibert was called to the ministry in 1984 when she was a student at Averett College in Danville, Virginia. She completed her Masters of Divinity at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. when it was an accredited United Methodist school.

Her conviction that she is to work closely with her parishioners to do something truly important energizes her, and her excitement at the prospect of doing God's work with her Middleburg church members is vibrantly clear as she describes her hopes and plans for her new assignment. She is married to Lee Seibert, pastor of Sydenstricker United Methodist Church in Springfield and she will commute to Middleburg from there. The Seiberts have four children, Thomas, Robin, Heather and Brian and six grandchildren.
