· From pages 24, 25 of the print edition

Board of Directors of the Mosby Heritage Area Association (MHAA) is sponsoring a Celebration of American Music on Saturday evening, September 13, 2008, at Huntland. The special feature of the evening will be the presentation of the MHAA 2008 Heritage Hero Award to Virginia's senior U.S. Senator John Warner.

The event begins at 5 p.m. and concludes at 7:30 p.m. Dr. Betsee Parker, Huntland's owner, who is graciously opening the historic horse country estate for this event, will co-host the event with MHAA.

"We are very excited to be able to offer a concert of this quality to support MHAA's wide range of educational programs," said MHAA president Marc Leepson. "Honoring Senator Warner for his unwavering commitment to protecting and preserving the heritage and culture of the Mosby Heritage Area is important to our organization and to all of Virginia's citizens."

The Celebration of American Music will be performed by bass-baritone Joshua Sekoski and soprano Ashleigh Rabbitt Sekoski. The duo live in New York City, and have graced the stages of theaters around the country. New York based pianist and conductor Tyson Deaton will accompany the Sekoskis.
