8th grade students of St. John the Evangelist Catholic School in Warrenton participated in making their own replica of the Statue of Liberty. The students are studying Immigration and the Growth of Cities in the United States from 1865 - 1914 in their Social Studies class. Students also memorized The New Colossus, the poem by Emma Lazarus that was carved at the base of the statue.
