Emmy Nomination for Loudoun Convention and Visitors Association
The Loudoun Convention & Visitors Association (LCVA) has been nominated for a 2008 Emmy for the Visit Loudoun Heritage Series, a set of videos featuring Loudoun's many tourism products.
"We are very excited," said Cheryl Kilday, president and CEO of the LCVA. "There were many people involved in this project. The Board of Supervisors approved the concept and funding, and LCVA Marketing Director Jeremy Harvey and his team implemented the program in conjunction with Electro-Fish Media. And of course there were the many venues and individuals who agreed to be captured on film because no professional actors were used."
The documentary style videos were produced to introduce visitors and potential visitors to the heritage and culture of Loudoun County through short clips featuring a selection of Loudoun County 's many tourism products, including wineries, heritage sites, destination restaurants, historic towns and villages, events and more.
Adeo Tours, in conjunction with the award-winning video production company, Electro-Fish Media, based in Austin , Texas criss-crossed Loudoun County for a total of 28 days and filmed at more than 50 locations. Vibrant color photography, commentary by more than 100 locals and visitors, music by local musicians brought the many experiences of Loudoun to life.
The high-quality, high-definition video clips are available for viewing and downloading on iTunes and YouTube, as well as the award-winning LCVA website, www.VisitLoudoun.org.
