Hunt Country Counseling, LLC
Only one fine carpenter and contractor in The Piedmont will calm your concerns with perfect pitch tenor classics and help you plot bucolic bike rides when you celebrate the conclusion of your renovation. That would be Philip Bzdyk, known to his customers and colleagues as the founder and CEO of Apple House Carpentry Contracting.
Kathryn L. Vieweg opened her counseling practice, Hunt Country Counseling, in 2007. She is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), a certified employee assistance counselor (CEAP), and holds a Master's Degree in counseling from GMU. Her private office space on Madison Street in Middleburg offers a safe harbor for exploring personal concerns and challenges with her clients. Kathryn sees adolescents and adults with varying issues including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, relationship and codependency. Using cognitive behavioral therapy as a framework, she encourages clients to discover their own inner resources and strategies to promote change and maximize growth.
Kathryn's experience in providing mental health services began while employed as a flight attendant. Originally trained in crisis management and employee assistance counseling by US Airways and the Association of Flight Attendants (which proved invaluable during the 9/11 response), she later continued her professional studies and practical experience at COPE, Inc. After further expanding her skills and expertise as the onsite employee assistance counselor at Navy Federal Credit Union, she realized her goal of becoming a private practitioner. She believes such a varied background brings depth and texture to her practice.
While individual therapy and consultation are her primary focus, Kathryn also provides organizational trainings and crisis intervention services to businesses throughout Northern Virginia.
Kathryn has resided in Middleburg with her husband since 1986. As an avid animal lover and owner, she provides pet loss and grief support. Along with other local businesses, her Middleburg office is animal friendly. Kathryn's interests also include Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, where therapists and horses partner to heighten client change via experiential work.
Kathryn accepts several insurance plans and has convenient hours (including some weekend and evening appointments). Limited appointments are also available at her Reston, VA office. As a member of the Middleburg Business Professional Association, Kathryn would like to thank that vital organization for their continued assistance and support.
