Fauquier Health Home Care Services has been selected as one of the 2009 Home Care Elite, an annual compilation of the most successful home health care providers in the U.S. Only eight hospital-based agencies in Virginia made the list.

Home Care Services helps patients recover from an illness or surgery, teaches them how to manage conditions like diabetes, heart disease, stroke, traumatic injuries, and to helps them overcome joint and mobility issues and pain management problems.

The service also provides treatments like intravenous infusion or tube feeding therapy at home. The Home Care Services team is made up of nurses, home health aides, medical social workers and physical, occupational and speech therapists.

Nine thousand agencies were considered for the Home Care Elite and 2,200 were selected. This total represents the top 25 percent of providers in the country for quality outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance measures.
