One of Middleburg's most successful educational programs, the "Study Buddy" tutoring program for elementary school children, needs volunteers.

Founded as part of the Windy Hill Foundation's programs for residents, "Study Buddy" quickly moved to embrace other children as well.

In partnership with Middleburg Elementary School, the program now helps nearly two dozen kids, of which only about half are Windy Hill residents.

Volunteers work one-on-one with children, primarily on remedial reading with some homework help.

The time required is minimal: Monday and/or Thursday from about 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.

If you can volunteer to help, or know someone else who can, please contact Claire Louis at Windy Hill.
