· From pages 13 of the print edition

Middleburg Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Middleburg Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: MBRG) announced plans to open a new bank branch in the New Town area of Williamsburg. The new branch will share space with Middleburg Trust Company and Middleburg Investment Group, which have served the Williamsburg area since 2002.

When it opens in late spring 2010, the new office for Middleburg Bank will provide individuals, families, businesses and non-profit organizations with a full range of financial services, from checking, savings and CDs to commercial loans and cash management solutions.

The new branch will be led by Ms. Laura Colvin, a local banking executive with deep roots in the Williamsburg market.

Since its founding in 1924, Middleburg Bank has been known for delivering the highest levels of personal service and the new branch in Williamsburg will continue this tradition. "We take great pride in providing exceptional service to our clients" said Michael D. Maddocks, Senior Vice President and Williamsburg Community Executive for Middleburg Financial Corporation. "The team in our new Williamsburg branch will get to know our clients and, in the process, provide personalized advice based on that client's unique needs. I'm confident that no other bank in the area delivers the personal service and proactive solutions that Middleburg Bank will," added Mr. Maddocks.

The bank's new branch will be located at 5372 Discovery Park Boulevard. This office will be the only financial center in the Williamsburg area to provide banking, trust, investments and mortgage services in one location, making it a true one-stop solution for all of a client's financial needs.

The bank will also be installing a new ATM in the Town Center. Located across from the fountain in the Main Street Shops, the bank's ATM will provide clients with easy access to their accounts. Area residents who do not bank with Middleburg Bank can also use the ATM to withdraw cash. This ATM is expected to be operational later in the first quarter 2010.
