Congratulations to Three Middleburg Restaurants
Goodstone Inn & Estate, Market Salamander and The Red Fox Inn have been named "destination restaurants" by The Loudoun Convention and Visitors Association. The highly coveted honor was awarded to nine Loudoun County establishments.
Also honored were Lightfoot Restaurant, Tuscarora Mill, Magnolias at the Mill, The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm, The Wine Kitchen and Grandale Farm Restaurant.
In order to be considered for inclusion in the annual list, a restaurant must showcase local character, produce and wine. The International Culinary Tourism Association defines a destination restaurant as "a restaurant that is so interesting, different or special that people travel just to eat there."
The program was established in 2007 to identify, recognize local restaurants that meet these standards.
Specific criteria required to meet the standards include a unique experience; authentic cultural appeal, quality; locally grown products; a local favorite and bonus points are awarded to those restaurants that serve Loudoun wines.
