Middleburg's Community Center will be the site of an international antiques, art and fine furniture auction on Saturday, November 13.

The event is a joint venture between Full Cry Auctions of Middleburg and Ken Farmer Auctions. Farmer is a national recognized antiques appraiser and one of the stars of the hit television series on PBS, "Antiques Roadshow."

"I'm excited and honored to join with Ken in this auction that will be broadcast around the world on the internet," said Curtis A. Prins, president of Full Cry.

Farmer and Prins will begin appraising consignments for the sale in early June. Persons who are interested in consigning items for the sale should contact Prins at Full Cry Auctions, 540 687-5022 or e-mail Prins at curtis@fullcryauctions.com.

"We are looking for quality items from all periods and Ken will be able to research background on the consignments to help achieve the highest possible auction price," said Prins. "With the economy starting to pick up," he added, "auction prices, especially for antiques, have rebounded nicely and we feel the November sale should reflect those increased prices."

Farmer will only be the hunt country for only a short period of time, so potential consigners should contact Full Cry as soon as possible to get an appraisal appointment.
