Middleburg's extraordinary community of civic-minded citizens once more revealed itself with nearly unanimous agreements to continue to serve as volunteers on a number of critical and often time-consuming task forces.

Council re-appointed Bill Turner and Punkin Lee to the Middleburg Historic District Review Committee for three-year terms ending on December 31, 2013.

Howard Armfield, Edward Swain were reappointed to the Health Center Advisory Board through 2012. Andrew Bergner, Wendy duly, Terri Kitchen, Mary Bell Peters and Mimi Stein were appointed for two-year terms as members of the Advisory Committee for the Town's official visitor center, The Pink Box.

Council also recommended that the Loudoun County Circuit Court re-appoint Kathy Fisher to a five-year term on the Board of Zoning Appeals.
