· From pages 5 of the print edition

Farmer's Delight Plantation, home of The McGhee Foundation in Middleburg, Virginia was recently awarded a grant of $10,000, given by VADAR (Virginia Daughters of the American Revolution) to restore a section of the original structure of the manor house.

At a meeting held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Middleburg last month, Richard Berger, Executive Director of The McGhee Foundation, a 501(c)(3), made a presentation about the historic property to the Ketoctin Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (Loudoun County).

Following the meeting, Berger invited all for a tour of Farmer's Delight.

Teresa McCarthy, Regent of the Ketoctin Chapter who spearheaded VADAR's interest and support of Farmer's Delight early on, was present for the day, as were 24 members, including a number of Board members and regents: Wendy Bye, Susannah Harding, Joan Whitener, Susan Webber, Wanda English, Victoria Raabe, and Jane Bogle.
