Jeffrey Michael Keffer
Jeffrey Keffer, a resident of The Plains, Virginia and Washington, D.C., died suddenly this Monday, January 17, while riding with the Orange County Hunt.
Jeff's last moments found him at his happiest on his horse, clearing fences and joyous with fellow riders. Jeff was 48.
Jeff leaves behind his wife of nearly 20 years, Elizabeth Baker Keffer, and three children Kathryn May (16), Audrey Beatrice (14) and Griffin Michael (11). Jeff is survived as well by his mother, Regina Keffer of Lansdale, PA, and his father, Charles Keffer of Hatfield, PA, and his three siblings Eric of Hatfield, PA, Ann Fraga of Collegeville, PA and Mark of Royersford, PA.
Jeff is best known for his unbounded love of his wife and children and for a spirit of constancy, kindness and self sacrifice. Jeff dedicated tireless years to his children's upbringing, schooling and hobbies.
Raised in Hatfield, PA, Jeff received his bachelor's degree from The University of Maryland and his law degree from The Catholic University of America. Across his career, Jeff was a practicing attorney, a devout father, an executive at an early stage technology start-up firm and, most recently, the retail division manager of Ayrshire Farm and its related businesses. He served on the boards of St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School in Washington, DC and Bright Beginnings. And, as to his life in the Virginia countryside, Jeff loved his farm, horses and riding with the Orange County Hunt.
The Keffer family received friends on Friday night, January 21, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moser Funeral Home: 233 Broadview Avenue, Warrenton, VA.
