Head of School Arnold Klingenberg has appointed Cindy Fenton Director of Development and Marketing for Middleburg Academy. A long-time Middleburg resident and former Director of Development for Foxcroft School, Ms. Fenton brings to her new position a strong background in independent school fund-raising, marketing, communications, and alumni relations.

In making the announcement, Mr. Klingenberg stated, "We are delighted to welcome Cindy, with her outstanding experience, to Middleburg Academy. Her enthusiasm for our school's philosophy and its offerings – coupled with her commitment to our greater community – will be invaluable attributes as we forge our future as an independent college preparatory high school."

Charged with building the school's external affairs activities, Ms. Fenton will create and manage comprehensive annual giving and major gift programs, broaden community and alumni relations, and enhance communication and marketing efforts.

Prior to her tenure at Foxcroft, Cindy Fenton spent nearly a decade in business planning, marketing, and product development in the information and telecommunications industries.
