Creighton Farms Opens Beautiful Clubhouse
Years of preparation for discriminating members concluded this month with the opening of the Clubhouse at Creighton Farms. Widely regarded as the Washington D.C. area's most extraordinary resort-style community, the opening of the Clubhouse is an important benchmark in the development of the property.
"We were delighted to receive approval to formally open the Clubhouse," explained David Southworth, president of Southworth Development, the owner of Creighton Farms. "It will be the social heart of our community and a keystone of the impeccable service we offer our members."
Although a formal grand opening is to be announced later this spring, all Clubhouse services are now available to members.
The finely appointed 34,000-square-foot manor house offers a variety of dining options, event space, elegant full-service locker rooms, club rooms (a small number of private hotel rooms) and the Golf Shop, where the latest golf equipment and ready-to-wear is available.
Members will enjoy the Grille Room, a light, airy room overlooking the golf course and rolling hills; The Trophy Room, reminiscent of an English club with wood paneling and a fireplace; Jack's Pub, offering a relaxed atmosphere with booths, lounge area, fireplace and a horseshoe bar; and the Billiards Room.
A private meeting and conference room overlooking the golf course has a fireplace and the very latest in A/V equipment. The conference room is available for social and business functions.
Members and guests will enjoy the Clubhouse's classic country décor, and Artist-in-Residence Tom Neel's works enliven the expansive space with charming paintings of the Piedmont region.
The full-service locker rooms include private showers, dressing rooms and steam rooms with separate lounge areas in each of the men's and women's lounges. Massage rooms offer a chance for relaxation and the fitness area includes the latest aerobic and weight training equipment.
"We are extremely pleased to offer our members a home away from home. At Southworth Development, we know that the Clubhouse is the heart of any Club," said General Manager Attila Harai.
"We value our members who have been waiting for this day, and are confident that the Clubhouse will attract new social and golf members"
"Our staff is prepared to offer exceptional service and we look forward to the season."

"We already have a social calendar for members with a variety of events, as well as a number of weddings and special events this year," Alexandra explained. "Creighton Farms is such a beautiful place for truly special events and we offer full event services to our clients."
"Brides may choose from beautiful interior spaces or al fresco patios that provide sensational backdrops for the ceremony. Whether they choose an outdoor space overlooking the 10th hole, or the Pergola, or many other options, they can leave the work to our very professional staff and enjoy a spectacular day."
