AH&T Insurance, an independent insurance agency in Leesburg, has awarded their 24th annual scholarship for $5,500 to Sumaiya Chowdhury of Heritage High School. Richard Whiteley, Vice President of AH&T Insurance, presented the scholarship at the Heritage High School Awards Ceremony.

Sumaiya who was named "Future Leader of 2012" by the Loudoun Times Mirror is a very deserving student and is well respected by both her teachers and peers. She speaks many languages and has been involved in various school activities including:

• Spanish Honor Society
• Art Honor Society
• Future Business Leaders of America – Treasurer
• Environmental Club
• Tutoring Spanish students

Sumaiya will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall with plans to major in Environmental Engineering.
