Council also adopted a new ordinance that would allow the town to remove debris and cut grass and weeds on private property and charge the owner for the service. If a property owner allows debris to accumulate, and grass and weeds to grow to more than ten inches high, the town may issue a warning, calling on the owner to address the problem. If that warning is ignored, the Town may both levy a fine and charge the property owner for the cost of addressing the problems.
