The Salvation Army of Loudoun Needs Volunteers and Sponsors for Red Kettles
For more than 25 years, The Salvation Army of Loudoun has fought poverty in our community. We have weathered many a storm through the years, and now we face another; the automatic ripple effect on working families and others from COVID-19. We as a community are struggling, and the rising costs of inflation is compounding the crisis.
Every day, more and more people have come to the Salvation Army of Loudoun asking for help. Our clients need help with rent, utility bills, and emergency food assistance, and we do not expect that the fire or help – and we do. We are in need of the Red Kettle – and we are in need of you. Loudoun is such a wonderful caring community, and we NEED you. The Red Kettle fundraising campaign began in 1891 in San Francisco, collecting money in a pep pot. Now, the Red Kettle campaign is one of the most iconic fundraising efforts in the country. All the proceeds that are raised through Red Kettles supports our emergency assistance program throughout the year.
Our Red Kettle volunteers greet shoppers with smiles, warmth, and holiday cheer throughout Loudoun. For families, it's a great way to teach your children about charity and goodwill towards men, and for professional and civic minded people in the community are struggling, and the rising costs of inflation is compounding the crisis.
