Set in the small town of Chinquapin Parish, Louisiana, six completely different yet nonetheless loyal friends meet weekly at Truvy's Beauty Salon to discuss world events along with the daily grind of raising a family and local politics. This play, written by Robert Harling, and later developed into a movie, depicts joy, sorrow and a bit of comedy all within the confines of Truvy's Beauty Salon, a made-over carport.

Donate Blood
Foxcroft School Day Students, as their special community service project, are sponsoring the next Blood Drive on Monday, April 26, 2004 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in FoxHound Auditorium. Almost everyone knows someone who has needed blood at some time. according to the American Red Cross Blood Services, "every seven seconds, someone in our region receives blood. Approximately 95% of the population will need blood during their lifetime, but less than 5% of the population donates." Representatives from the American Red Cross will be in Fox-Hound Auditorium on the Foxcroft campus, 4 miles outside of Middleburg on Foxcroft Road. New regulations require donors to present a photo ID. To avoid waiting, call 540.687.4322 to schedule a time for your donation. Help our day students meet their goals!
