Boy, do these deadlines come quickly, even for a monthly rant. Conspiracy theories are not my metier nor do I pay much attention to them but....it occurred to me, while musing on the state of the world and somehow trying to make sense of some or all of it, that there has to be a reason why everything seems to be and in reality, is so chaotic and out of control.

An unending list of examples came to mind: taxes, the economy, war and unnecessary deaths, escalating gas prices, inability to travel freely throughout the world, AIDS, Alzheimer's, cancer, fad diets, inelegant language and public indecency, media exploitation, rudeness, computer viruses and spam filling our email boxes and suddenly, it became clear as a bell as I was emptying my email box of uninvited solicitations for sex, drugs and rock and roll.

It's all about Viagra and the other similar products that are endorsed by every manner of known politician and sports figure who are splattered all over television waxing brilliant and implying that their increased pleasure and performance, sexual and otherwise, is due to this or that little purple pill. Taking this one step further, I began to suspect that because of the success of these stimulants and panaceas, something else has occurred—someone and I don't know who—has taken the opportunity to infuse them with an additional potion, which is responsible for chaos creation, megalomania and its attendant unexplainable behavior.

Why otherwise would there be so much mass arrogance and irresponsible behavior? As far as I am concerned, anyone who uses, abuses or is addicted to using these 'cure-alls' is guilty of every one of the above named ills. More so, if we know Bob Dole is a user, then imagine who else is. The drug dealers who peddle legal drugs are just as guilty as drug dealers who peddle illegal drugs.

Where does this rant end? My suggestion is to scientifically investigate the contents of the Viagra type drugs and their side effects—but let's do it now, before it's too late and we end up all involved in the ultimate and final orgasm.
