Trowbridge-Lewis Galleries, which offers Middleburg a truly unique blend of original fine art, glass, sculpture and antiquities from around the world will now also feature the work of local artist Tom Neel.

Founded in July 2005, the gallery offers a broad portfolio of individually selected pieces from artists around the world but, until now, did not include any local artists.

"It was very important to us to find an artist who would not only represent local interests and the feel of Virginia, but an artist who understands the mission of the gallery, the blend of art we wish to offer and the sensibilities of our clientele," said Adrienne Lewis, co-owner of the gallery. "We're delighted to announce that artist is Tom Neel"

While Tom Neel is well known locally for his rich, colorful, oil paintings of Virginia and Europe, he had actually stopped working nationally with galleries in places such as Carmel, California to, as he says, "…get my finger back on the pulse of my customers." Neel will continue to stay in close touch with his customers through commission work but his relationship with Trowbridge-Lewis will give him broader and better representation in the Washington D.C. area, nationally and internationally.

"We see Tom as more than a local artist," said Adrienne. "His work are in private collections here and abroad and his subject matter is certainly not limited to our area. Tom is an international artist who happens to live and work locally.

"Adrienne," says Tom, "has great passion for art and the artists she represents. Her travels throughout the world as an art collector and enthusiast make her a perfect gallery owner because she thinks like her potential customers. Simply put, she knows the kind of information her clients want and need and I'm a big believer in that!"
