There are very few Town Council meetings we've missed in the past ten years, and my appreciation for the commitment, dedication and hard work our elected officials contribute to our civic society is boundless. So, it will come as no surprise when we suggest that all candidates for Town Council attend the March 13th Council meeting for a preview of what will be required should they be elected.

Our small village is moving through a sometimes rocky field of challenges and change. One only has to audit a Council meeting to note the professionalism and diligence of our sitting government, whether elected or staff, and to remark upon the magnitude of preparation and research required to do a fair and thorough job.

Those who wish to participate at the level of leadership should take the time to learn the lay of the land. Should they triumph in our next elections, they will need all the information available to acquit themselves honorably in their term of service.
