Middleburg Elementary School 5th Graders Selected for All-County Chorus
Congratulations to Middleburg Elementary School Fifth Graders Kayla Giuliani and Caroline Greer, who were both chosen to participate in Loudoun County's All-County Chorus. The concert was held at Briar-Woods High School on May 5th.
Both girls performed in a concert conducted by Francisco J. Nunez, Founder and Artistic Director of the Young People's Chorus of New York City. The students performed some of his original compositions, as well as songs from other 20th and 21st century composers. The children performed one very moving number written by children in the concentration camp, Terezin. Only a handful of the children survived the concentration camp, and Nunez dedicated the song to all children living in the Middle East and Africa.
