Middleburg Conducts Shopping Survey
The Mayor and Town Council have announced that the Town of Middleburg is conducting a Shopping Survey of residents located in and surrounding the Town limits. The survey is intended to determine the shopping habits of area residents, as well as any issues that may be preventing residents from shopping in the Town. Once received, the completed surveys will be compiled into a report that can be distributed to area merchants and property owners for their use in making future business decisions, such as the type of merchandise to carry, hours of operation, and the types of businesses that residents are interested in recruiting to the Town.
"I am thrilled that we are finally able to send this survey" said Mayor Betsy Allen Davis. "It has been a long time in the works. I hope our residents and those in the surrounding area will take the time to complete it since it will give us the tools to better serve our residents and businesses."
Survey forms will be mailed to those living within the 20118 and 20117 zip codes on October 27, 2007. It is requested that the surveys be completed and returned to the Town Hall no later than December 1, 2007. Copies of the survey form may also be obtained on the Town's website at www.middleburg.org. Individuals who return the surveys in the return envelope (and include a return address) will be registered for a chance to win a gift basket, donated by the Middleburg Business and Professional Association.
"We would very much appreciate your help in determining the shopping needs of our community so that we may work to set economic development goals and to achieve those goals," said Mayor Davis.
