Tom Neel Art Show at New Gallery
Celtic Spring… A Celebration of Celtic Christianity
On the evening of Saturday, May 2nd, Tom Neel, considered one of the Piedmont's premiere landscape artists, will celebrate his one-man show "Twilight Art Night". Just as exciting is the event's location. Tom and his wife Linda Neel are opening a new gallery and business called "Live An Artful Life" at 6474 Main Street, The Plains, VA, right next to the Rail Stop Restaurant.
While showcasing Tom's work, which has been collected throughout the U.S. and abroad, Linda, an award-winning wearable textile artist and designer, will be featured as well. The gallery will also specialize in works by American fine craft and jewelry artisans, unique gifts and the artful lifestyle.
Live An Artful Life is in many ways a continuation of the Neels' background. Many may remember Linda "Schenk at the time," who founded Leesburg's first art gallery in the early 80s, Leesburg Gallery of Art, and both directed GWS Galleries for the fine art publisher The Greenwich Workshop. Both also served on the publishing management team and traveled throughout the national art scene representing the company and its base of top renowned artists.
Live An Artful Life will open about a week before Mr. Neel's show. "Twilight Art Night" artist reception is Saturday, May 2nd from 4 to 8pm and Sunday, May 3rd from noon to 5pm. For more details call the Neels' studio at 540-364-4401 or online at www.thomasneel.com
