BOWA Builders (www.bowa.com) recently ranked number one on REMODELING magazine's Remodeling 550 Full-Service Remodelers list with more than $26 million in revenue from 2008 residential remodeling projects. Bucking the economic downturn trend, the company estimates its total revenue will be over $36 million in 2009.

The Remodeling 550 is REMODELING's first list of home improvement companies since it published the Remodeling 1,000 in the 1990s. Determined by company revenue, the list takes industry diversity into account by grouping the 550 companies into four major categories: full-service, replacement or specialty, insurance restoration, and franchise. Data for the 550 is based on a survey jointly developed by REMODELING, its sister publication REPLACEMENT CONTRACTOR, and Specpan, an Indianapolis-based consultancy and business data collection provider.
