On December 6th, just in time for the holidays, the Waterford Concert Series will host a special performance at the Sheila C. Johnson Performing Arts Center at The Hill School. The featured artists, Myriam Avalos Teie and Rosanne Conway, will play together on a single grand piano, a style known as piano for four hands.

The celebrated duo will perform a holiday medley combining traditional Christmas carols with selections from Bizet, Liszt, Vaughan Williams and Tchaikovsky. Both pianists are known for their sparkling renditions and breathtaking performances.

The concert is being held as a fundraiser to benefit the rebuilding of the Waterford Old School auditorium, which burned to the ground in January 2007. The auditorium, built in 1931, was the venue for the Waterford Concert series.

Concert tickets are $75 and can be purchased by telephone (540-882-3018) or online (www.waterfordfoundation.org). Fifty dollars of the purchase price is tax-deductible.
