The Middleburg Eccentric joins the Mayor, the Town Council, and most, if not everyone who knows him, in thanking Jerry Schiro for his lifetime of public service, and especially for his all too short term of service with the Town of Middleburg.

His gentlemanly style combined with a quiet competence based on nearly four decades of local government experience, made him the perfect choice to fill a tough job under what, at the he was hired, seemed almost impossible conditions.

We wish him the very best in his retirement, and hope that he and those near and dear to him will spend a good part of it in Middleburg.
