Main Street Middleburg is a national treasure.

The north side of town is a residential pleasure, soon to be enhanced as the land owned by Salamander Development is transformed under the watchful eye and restraint imposed by both good taste and mutually agreed upon legal constraints.

Now it would appear, it is the turn of Federal Street', a comparatively unpolished gem, but a gem nevertheless.

A group of Virginia Tech students have noticed its potential, and are working with the Town to generate great new non-binding ideas for its improvement for us all to consider.

Even better, Ben Wegdam has not only consistently demonstrated his devotion to Middleburg and its potential, he invests in it . . . and is now investing, again, in Federal Street.

The LouLou(s) and Creme de la Creme are both successful and a pleasure. Wegdam's decision to renew a great old building in a great old place, and put his corporate headquarter and main storage facilities there is good one.

Good for him. Good for us. Good for all those his businesses serve.
