New Officer for Middleburg PD

· By Daniel Morrow · From pages 12, 13 of the print edition

On November 10 Middleburg Police Chief Bill Klugh formally introduced Heather Fadely, the newest member of the Middleburg Police force to Town Council and the greater Middleburg community. She was selected from one of the largest pool of applicants ever to apply for a job on the force.

Officer Fadely hails from Shenandoah County, VA and has more than seven years of professional law enforcement experience. Prior to joining the Middleburg force she served as a Sergeant of Patrol with the City of Manassas Park. Five months ago she moved to Linden, saw that the Middleburg PD was hiring, and applied for the job. She is currently undergoing field training. "I thought this would be the perfect area," she told the Eccentric. "Growing up riding and showing horses, I am very familiar with the culture of the town and was excited to come to horse country." Her next goal, she says, is to earn Master's Degree in Public Administration.

Asked about her life out of uniform, Fadely replied, "I enjoy running, spending time with my boyfriend and his children, riding dressage and traveling. I am looking forward to meeting the citizens and business owners of Middleburg!"
