Wakefield School seniors Bailey Mahoney of Catlett and Michael McElroy of Haymarket were surprised and excited at an Upper School Assembly last month when Lt. Col. Tom Mortenson, the Associate Director of Admissions at VMI presented them with letters of acceptance from the Virginia Military Institute.

Both seniors had applied early decision to the school. Lt. Col. Mortenson wanted to recognize them in front of the Upper School, their families, and faculty members.
